Wow the outcome looks really great. Especially when you finish it up with a think layer of paint, leaving some unfinished parts to make it look rustic. love it!

Awesome idea! Love the look. I’m going to do this, as my hubby brings home scraps of wood from work all the time for the woodstove. I always go through and squirrel away the good pieces!
