We sign up for the summer reading program at our local library and take advantage of their educational activities through out the summer. Then, we buy memberships to the children’s museum and other kids’ places around town. My daughter is an only child so she gets bored at home all day. So we go to the park, on hikes, swimming, and I usually sign her up for some sort of class. I think we’re doing gymnastics this year!ReplyCancel

I’d love to win because we have an old Mr. Coffee coffee maker. Don’t get me wrong it makes me coffee and I greatly appreciate all the caffeine I can get when I can. I’d love to win the Keurig, because Mama. Needs. Coffee. We’ve got a fifteen month old daughter, who I am blessed to get to stay at home with. However, she is not a sleeper. She hasn’t slept through the night, excluding a handful of times. I’m up every two to three hours at night to nurse her, I’m not complaining though, I’m grateful for the time spent with her and the blessing of being able to give her nutrients and bonding during her feedings. I grew up in a small town in the country and can honestly say it was amazing. Safety was never an issue and there was so much freedom to be a child and explore. My favourite part would honestly be the exposure to the outdoors and nature…I crave and physically need that connection on a daily basis to preserve my sanity!
My favorite part of childhood is endless playing. I had cabbage patch dolls, Barbue galore, and school supplies to play teacher to occupy my growing brain. The imagination I had as a child was endless.
My favorite part of growing up was playing with my twin sister. We used to play with our my little ponies + other toys always saying, “Pretending that….” My family stills remembers us saying that all the time. We are still very close.
My wonderful childhood I have to contribute to my wonderful parents…playing in the backyard…building forts and camping outside….going to the beach…playing at the pool…running through the sprinklers…my parents placed importance on us spending time as a family and now my siblings are some of my dearest friends. Just being together are where my best memories were created.
My favorite part of childhood was swimming for hours and the the summer reading club at the library.
Childhood was the best, it’s hard to beat limited responsibilities, summers off, riding bikes for hours, and playing outside till the sun went down. My favorite part of childhood has to be my best friend, we became best friends in 2nd grade and now we’re both 22, live 1000 miles apart, and I have a daughter now, but I know I could call her up or text her and she’d be there for me. Nothing better than that!

Growing up with siblings and having built in playmates
My grandparents lived on a lake and we each got to spend a week with them during the summer. It was definitely the best days of my life. My Oma would cook an amazing breakfast and we’d spend the day swimming or tubing behind the boat. My Opa took me out for lunch or dinner, always to a Chinese buffet, and I would get a huge plate of mashed potatoes even though there were 50 options. I’d come home exhausted and tan, but feeling so loved.
My favorite part of childhood was spending it with my brother. Playing, using our imagination. Life was much easier then!
When we were little and the electricity would go out my mom would set up the candle and lanterns and we would have coloring contest and the winner would be decided once the lights were back on. If it was on a weekend we would all get to sleep in the living room even if the lights came back on.
I loved playing outside having fun no responsibility just the fun of being young! I want my kids to have the same!
My favorite part of my childhood was Spice Girls, Furbies , Polly pocket and inflatable furniture. Nothing els mattered lol 🙂

My favorite part of growing up was taking road trips to California every summer with my family. We really had the best time just being together playing car games and listening to music.

Hi I am from Singapore, never had a chance to live in kampong (village)… I stay in flat when I was born. My favourite part of my childhood was playing with paper dolls. I enjoyed design, drawing, cutting, colouring dresses, top, skirts and accessories for my paper dolls! Now I am mother of 3 girls and my girls love paper dolls same like me! It bring back my childhood memories too!

Waking up early on Saturday mornings, just to watch the morning cartoons with my older siblings and my father, is one of my favorite memories. Other than Saturday mornings we never got to watch tv. We were always too busy running around the neighborhood getting hockey games together with the other kids.
Using our imaginations! No iPads!! Lucky if we got a sega that we could play on weekends and only watching tv as a FAMILY! I think it’s fabulous there are still things like tepees, dress ups and other pretend play props to keep kids imaginations alive in what’s becoming a technology obsessed world :/ Nothing’s more fun then a tea party in a teepee with my original cabbage patch kid and my child doll with my girls!!! Precious memories of play- not the latest app!!
Living a somewhat carefree life! And growing up and spending time with all of my cousins, now that we’re all adults and some of us have children of our own it’s not easy to make time for a get together ☺️
My favorite part of childhood was posting outside with my sisters and the rest of the neighborhood gang. I knew we were going to play and skate and bike and climb, maybe even get hurt. It was going to be a fun time no matter what day it was. I miss always knowing I was going to fit in, to be listened to, always assuming i was going to have fun.

My hands down favorite childhood memory was playing with my younger brother outside. I remember for one Martin Luther Kinh Jr. Day we decided it was a cause for celebration and turned on the hose and made mud pies in commeration. We made the biggest mess when we brought them inside, but to this day we still laugh when we talk about it.

My favorite childhood memory would have to be when I went to NY. I was about 6 years old & we got to see the statue of liberty. I was really scared to go inside, but once I reach the top. It felt amazing!
