Nothing is greater than a handmade Valentine’s day card for that special someone! Today, I created a small and easy Valentine’s Day Card for the hubs and my daughter.
All you really need is a few materials. You will need: card-stock paper, vinyl, scissors, hole puncher, glue gun, string and envelope.
Cut desired size of the card. I cut off a piece just slightly smaller than the envelope so it can fit nicely.
Fold in half and make a hole punch just about 1/2 inch from the ends.
Attach string or twine in between holes.
Cut a heart out of card stock paper. I used a glitter canvas type paper I found at Hobby Lobby where all the felt is. Then I add a little glue to the edge of the hole punch to hold on the twine/string from falling off.
I used the Silhouette Portrait to create my vinyl letters and used a gold vinyl from Silhouette.
It turned out super cute and made it just in time for Valentine’s day! Hope you enjoyed this post.

So cute and great way to use type from the computer and make it handmade.

I love this idea! The sparkly heart is my favorite part.
I’ve never used a Silhouette (sp?) and I’m not even sure what all they do, but I see a lot of craft/DIYers that use them…and your cute card may have just convinced me to look into them more!
