Silhouette Portrait Review | Holiday Gift Guide @silhouetteam

I have never had a cutting tool like Silhouette Portrait and I used to cut my own crafts by hand. It was a pain but finally I have my own Silhouette Portrait and I couldn’t be any happier. After a week of using the Silhouette Portrait, I’m in love!
Silhouette Portrait comes with A/C Adapter/Power Cable, USB Cable, Silhouette Studio Software, Instructional DV, 8 x 12 Cutting Mat, Blade w/cap & $10 Gift Card to Silhouette Online Store. Silhouette Portrait size is perfect for me. It doesn’t require much space and its light to carry. The installation was super easy and I was able to use it and try the Silhouette Portrait within an hour. The Silhouette Software is very self explanatory and easy to navigate. You can download shapes right within the software without leaving the program.

Once I started to cut my projects; the Portrait cuts the shapes perfectly without any problems. I was very impressed and super excited that I spent one whole day cutting and cutting shapes. I was able to easily download new shapes within the software. Most shapes at Silhoutte’s Online store start from $0.50.

Pros:
– You can create hundreds and hundreds of creative projects.
– Fast and easy to use software
– Convenient size
– Affordable price
– Affordable new shapes

Cons:
– You must change blades depending of project by using a provided ratchet cap that could be easily lost.
– Sometimes when using the cutting mat to cut your project; sometimes the Portrait may cut outside the lines if not installed properly.

Overall: The Portrait is amazing! I love it and I can’t keep cutting projects.

Notes: When using the Portrait’s cutting mat, try to cut a little over the edge just in case the Portrait cuts outside the lines.

Some Projects I have done so far with the Silhouette Portrait: A simple Christmas Banner, Ornaments and Gift Wrapping Accents

I highly recommend the Silhouette Portrait because of price, performance & size! It’s the perfect cutting tool for all crafters and simply the perfect Holiday present.
