DIY Watercolor Backdrop

Just a few months ago, we did A little photo shoot for my daughters 3rd birthday. My daughter wanted a unicorn cake and balloons. Then I made a watercolor backdrop.

We used the same technique for our water color tablecloth that you can find here.

Materials needed:

– empty spray bottles

– acrylic or water color paints in pink, red and white or your preferred color

– 2 yards of white fabric

Instructions:
I cut my fabric in two pieces. Place the white fabric on the floor.

Add water and paint on spry bottle. To get a lighter color simply add more water and a little white paint.

Spray water colors onto fabric. The colors blend together with a little excess water or use a soft sponge or a wet brush.

Hang to dry outside.

The process is a bit messy but the end project is amazing. You can use the fabric for backdrops for portraits or product shots.

Once I was done, I simply rolled them and store with all my wrapping papers. My kiddos had a blast helping sorting water to the fabric and I’m sure your kiddos would to.

How would you use this amazing watercolor pink backdrop?
