Open-Enrollment Season @Aflac

You may now know that Open Enrollment is currently taking place at your work-place. Have you enrolled in insurance benefits from work? If so, do you research before enrolling or changing your policy?

When I worked in a corporation, I enrolled for insurance but I wasn’t really sure how it worked or if it was good choice. I was only 21 yrs old and going to college. When I first enrolled for insurance at my work-place I simply chose the most affordable. For me, all the insurance terminology is so confusing and complicated. I relied on what other co-workers said or the little help I received from the HR Department. For more than two years, I had the same health benefits and used my health insurance a couple of times.

My dear husband has great health benefits at work and every year we research if there is new changes to our policy before deciding to change our health insurance. Now that we have our daughter is very important to have the right health insurance for our little family and we think twice before committing to the new changes to our policy.

I thinks is very important for everyone to learn more about the open enrollment period and research first before signing up for health benefits. Most people have no idea that their policy may change and they simply choose the same health insurance every year. You may be loosing money.

According to the Aflac Open Enrollment Survey, Did you know that most employees are on auto-pilot or they just choose the benefits every year without being aware of the new changes of their policies? Many people could loose up  to $750 each year because of mistakes they have made with their health insurance benefits.
