Would you love to take beautiful pictures of your kiddos but don’t know how to use you your camera? Many people love the way I take photos but I still feel they aren’t up to par. I try my best when photographing my kids, food, and craft tutorials for the blog but I sometimes get frustrated that they aren’t coming up as I hoped they will. I only use my DSRL Nikon 5200 in manual mode but that doesn’t mean I know how to properly set it up. When I was beginning to use my first DSLR, I used my auto settings then learned anything possible about photography by online tutorials. Once I switched to manual settings, my photos dramatically changed for the better. I was able to bring in more light and crispiness into my photos.
I believe that the key to a good photo is lightning, with out good lightning is almost impossible to get a good clear, clean and crisp capture. I’m no expert at all, in fact I’m just as a beginner as any of you. I have my own little manual setup I use every time I’m ready to snap a photo which sometimes works. All I can say is that it takes time to learn your camera and lots of practice. Sometimes I get frustrated that my photos aren’t coming up to my liking. I think of giving up but I keep on snapping and practicing, in hopes to get that great shot. White balance is my enemy when taking photos and I’m hoping to get some help with that on the Mamma’s Gonna Snap Photo 101 for moms – 4 Week Course.

I would love to feel confident shooting in manual all the time. I use manual for shooting food/crafts, but when it comes to anything that can move – forget about it. I’m auto all the way!
