The other day I shared this awesome tutorial on Cherished Bliss as part of a Christmas in July Children’s Gift Ideas.
My toddler loves playing with wood blocks so I decided on making her some wood blocks covered in bold fabric colors. She absolutely loved them and I know your toddler will too.
All you need is the following:
- 3 pieces of wood (Your choice of size) These particular ones are 6 x 1.57 inches – I bought a three pack at Micheal’s for 5.99 plus a 50% coupon. (Sanded & Finished)
- Fabric Scraps or Remnants
- Mod Podge
- Scissors
First make sure to sand & finish the wood blocks. Measure & cut fabric, add mod podge to the wood, and apply fabric. Easy Peasy.
Pick fabric scraps that are bold in color and eye catching.
Add a little bow and they look very pretty on a gift box! Toddlers will sure love them.
I hope you like this little project.

What a cute idea for a toddler!
What a great idea. My daughter wants pink blocks now but her set she has is perfect, this might be a great idea to update them instead of buying new.
