DIY Summer Fruit Balloons

Summer will be here in no time and I’m just counting the days till we leave for our summer vacation to the Bahamas (kid-free!). Ever since having the kiddos we haven’t been able to have a vacation to ourselves and now that we have booked our trip feels likes like it doesn’t come any closer. I love my kids but I could sure use a week off with no kids!

This month’s Michael’s Makers challenge is about summer fun! Summer for us is very hot, humid, and all about water fun to get refreshed.

Michael’s Store inspired me for summer! Michael’s store is filled with all things you need for summer. From water balloons, hula hoops, summer bling, summer party and anything in between to have a great summer outdoors.

Inspired by all the tropical cut outs and embellishments at Michael’s Store, I created for this challenge a fruit balloon garland that is perfect for summer parties!

This fruity summer balloon garland is super easy to make!

You will need balloons, green construction paper, tape, tropical cut outs from Michael’s and tape.

Blow up the balloons to form the fruit. The using green construction paper cut out some leaf shapes. Then use a piece of tape to secure onto the balloon.

Whether you’re looking for fun décor, bright blooms, or cute party supplies, Michaelsr has everything you need to MAKE summer fun!
