3 Ways To Wrap Difficult Presents

I love wrapping presents, and love even more giving presents to my loved ones. Sometimes I do not like wrapping difficult presents, so I tend to go to the gift bag option.

We all have stressors during the holidays and this month the Michaels Makers were asked to come up with creative and fun holiday hacks and tips to help relieve some of that stress and make holiday entertaining and prepping fun! We were given 5 common holiday hiccups to choose from and I went with 3 Ways to Wrap Difficult Gifts.

I bought three gifts for my loved ones from Michael’s Stores. I ended up buying two big dinosaurs for our little guy, an awesome art set for my 5 year old, and for the hubs I got him a little manicure set.

How would you wrap an odd shape gift, with out a box, or just plain boring to wrap?

Before hot gluing the last cardboard shape, add the gift, add some confetti and insert a cord at the tip of the piñata to make a handle.

2. Wrap a difficult gift using a craft box. I love buying gift boxes, its an easy way to just wrap a difficult gift that has no smooth shape to wrap. Use some watercolors to paint the craft box. Then I used some cord to wrap around the box s few times.

3. Wrap a difficult gift using faux flowers. Since the young artist art set has odd nobs, and wrapping it with wrapping paper was just not working with out looking just oddly shaped. I covered the gift with felt all around using a few sheet of felt (or you can use wrapping paper), then hot glued various white flower petals on all sides of the gift, except the bottom one. Add a few winter greenery, bells and inexpensive faux small flowers to cover any gaps. I used a variation of some old flowers I already had and new winter floral stems. Michael’s has a ton of them in sale! This wrapping idea reminds me of the Rose Bowl Parade. DSC_0001
