Summer parties are one of my favorite things to do during summer. Pool parties, beach trips, refreshing treats, sunshine and lots of sunblock is what summer is all about. If my family lived closer, I would totally host more summer parties, more summer gatherings with the family.
Inspired by my balloon and flower garland and the embroidery hoops from last month’s Michael’s challenge, I thought the ide could be great as a crown for parties.
Make your own balloon and flower crown using simple materials from Michael’s store.
Materials Needed:
-Michael’s Store Wax Flowers or faux flowers
– Floral Wire
– Small balloon
– Yarn
Begin by measuring the head size and shape the crown using floral wire.
Blow up small white balloons half way. Attach them to the flora wire by making a second knot.
Hot Glue some greenery and flowers.
To make pom poms, wrap around yarn to three fingers. Remove yarn from fingers and make a knot in the middle with a piece of yarn. Trim with scissors leaving a long strip.
Attach each pom pom to the floral wire using the left-out long strip of yarn.
Now let’s get the summer party started! Have any plans for crafting for summer parties?
