Vanilla Bean Frappe Recipe

Now that it’s summer, I like to cool down by drinking something delicious, cold and refreshing. Whenever I run errands, I stop by Starbucks and grab a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. After enjoying this drink for several years, I decided that it was time to stop buying and start making it myself. Now I enjoy this at home and on the go! Ah, sweet summertime.

The recipe is very simple and only takes seconds to make. I am very excited to share this recipe with you. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 of a vanilla bean
  1. Start by adding the ice, half & half, and sugar into a blender. Slice the vanilla bean down the middle and scrape the tiny “seeds” into the blender. Discard the shell.
  2. Blend everything until it reaches the right consistency.

Where to buy vanilla beans? Vanilla beans are usually found in stores that carry gourmet spices, but some local grocery stores carry them in the spice aisle. They are usually folded in half and sealed in a spice jar.

Optional: Add whipped cream and drizzle caramel syrup on top for extra deliciousness!
