DIY Pom Pom Tassel Sandals

The following sandals are going to be one of our highlights of our summer. These sandals are the definition of out summer days ahead of us, filled with lots of color and fun.

I’m currently working on my sandals because these aren’t just for little girls. I want a pair for me! Just need to find the perfect gladiator sandal to add my own pom pom and tassels.

I decided to add a little color to these simple gladiator Cat & Jack girl sandals from Target for my little girl who loves pom poms. I loved the way they turned out.

 What you’ll need:

  • Gladiator Sandals ( Bought our at Target / Brand Cat & Jack)
  • Pom Poms
  • small beads
  • brown cord
  • jump rings (from Michael’s)
  • Small tassels from Michael’s.
  • small & medium silver head pins or silver eye pins. I got mine at Michael’s.

I got everything at Michael’s except the sandals!

I replaced the cord of the original sandals to add more length using a brown cord from Michael’s Store from the jewelry department. You can also find the headpins and the jump rings in the jewelry department.

Using head pins, add a bead and bend to attach to the cord. Using the medium size head pins, insert it through the middle of a pom pom, then bend and attach to the cord. Add jump rings if desired so the bead or Pom Pom dangle a bit more.

Next time you’re at Michael’s, grab some pom poms, tassels, jump rings and head pins to make your own sandals for you and your little gal!

Will you be making your own Pom Pom sandals this summer?
