Alphabet & Animals Christmas Tree

Every year, since Aries was 2 years old, I decorate a small 3ft Christmas tree in her room. I decorate it with foam Alphabet letters painted in black, white string lights, a star topper and a faux fur tree skirt. And every year, I love it even more.

This year, I decided to do a little makeover of her Alphabet Christmas Tree by adding toy animals painted in colorful colors. We used previous toy animals, dollar store plastic animals and we even found some from Target’s dollar spot.

I fell in love even more with her little tree and so did she. We put her Christmas tree early, as it also serves as her night light.

To make your own Alphabet & Animal Christmas Tree, here are some items you may need:

  • 3ft Christmas Tree
  • 26 Foam Letters from Hobby Lobby ($1.19 each). One for each letter in the alphabet.
  • Black Acrylic Paint for letter and Assorted Acrylic Paint for the Plastic Animals
  • Several Plastic Toy Animals (Can be found at Dollar Store, Target Dollar Spot & Target Toy Section)

Make sure to paint both sides of the foam letter using at least two coats. For the plastic animals I used, Martha Stewart Pearl Acrylic Paints.

Hope you are inspired to create a Christmas Tree for you kiddo’s room. I’m pretty sure your kiddos will be ecstatic to have their own mini Christmas Tree. I know my kids are, and are so excited to see their presents under the tree on Christmas Day.
