Milk is a necessity for us. We love milk any day of the day specially that my little one year old is grow. Have you heard of the Fuel to Play 60?? Real California Milk has recently launched the Fuel Up to Play 60, a national campaign by the NFL and National Dairy Council to promote good nutrition and exercise in schools. Now that my little Aries is entering Kindergarten in the fall, this program is something I would join to help her school in any way I can.

Is your California school participating? Qualifying California schools participating in Fuel up to Play 60 are eligible for up to $4,000 through the Spring Grant Funding Program, to help support their health and wellness programs. Schools can participate in the plays in the form of creating a healthy changes for students, from Jogging to running, eating a healthy breakfast. In addition to the grant, Central Valley Schools and students grades 4-10th can participate in the Get In The Game Challenge until May 22. The school with the most students sign ups, get a celebration event with special guests form he 49ers!  To apply and get your school involved in this amazing opportunity, visit for more information.

My girl has been going to school for about two years ago, and now I can’t believe she is going to be a kindergarten in just a few months. I want to be involved in the future of her education and the Fuel to Play 60 seems like the best approach to do so. This would be my first time actually being involved in a bigger public school and makes me feel emotional not knowing I would ever be a parent 6 years ago. We exercise at home a few times a week, and she loves being active. When I was in public schools, I loved the gym classes because I loved the outdoor and play time with my friends. Back then, we had no cell phones, not much game c0nsoles but we had bikes, skates, and lots of outdoor games to entertain and keep ourselves active. I want for my daughter to be active and continue eating healthy, and it all starts at home too.

Are you involved in your kiddos schools? Get your school involved in the Fuel To Play 60 to help your school promote health in students.
